Creating opportunities

Employing an apprentice or hiring an intern is a great opportunity for you to add an enthusiastic and hardworking extra pair of hands to your team. Young talent can be trained and moulded to your business needs and company ethics.

With a combination of on-the-job experience and classroom learning, each candidate will develop skills, knowledge and understanding, creating the perfect addition to your team.

90% of UK employers report benefits to their business from hiring apprentices.

Apprentices

We offer support to each company we work with, throughout the entire recruitment and apprenticeship training process. Which means you can take care of business while we take care of your apprentices. Clarity, honesty and ongoing communication in all directions are key players in our success.

Trainees

We’re home to many of the UK’s most eager and talented young people looking to take their first steps onto the career ladder. We’ll co-ordinate internships from 3 months up to 12 months, designed to suit your needs.

Additional training

We encourage participants of all ages, whether beginning a career or later stage development to find their spark within their chosen field so that we can create a perfect match with our portfolio of job roles. Our business is underpinned by the commitment to finding exact matches from both sides; the employer and learner.

We work to discover areas of great businesses that may require support and connect employers with learners that have an enthusiasm for your field ensuring that both the business and learner can flourish.

For employers

Government incentive

Employers in England taking on new apprentices will now receive an incentive grant of £3,000 for each new apprentice they hire aged 16-18, £2,000 for new apprentice starts aged 19-24 and a £1,500 payment for each new apprentice they hire aged 25 and over.

They will also receive £1,000 for each 16-24 year old that is placed on a work experience traineeship for 3-12 months.

Understanding levy

As an example

An employer with an annual pay bill of £5,000,000:

levy sum: 0.5% x £5,000,000 = £25,000

subtracting levy allowance: £25,000 – £15,000 = £10,000 annual levy

payment

As a NonLevy business you will be required to pay 5% of the cost of the Apprenticeship training and the government will pay 95%. The maximum cost will depend upon which one of the 15 bands the Apprenticeship training falls into.

However, if you have fewer than 50 members of staff and you employ an

16-18 year old Apprentice then the employer contribution will be waived so the cost of training that young person will be free.
